Paving Stone Project—Danville
Danville, a charming little town nestled between San Ramon and Alamo California. It sits right in the middle of Contra Costa. Actually, Paving Stones for Contra Costa are becoming quite popular. We've built a number of Paver Patios and Paver Driveways here. There are nice houses, beautiful landscape and nice people who can appreciate curb appeal. Paving stones for driveways are a good choice – especially if you want to create that curb appeal!

For this project, located walking distance to the little downtown section of Danville, we choose to keep it clean and simple; allowing for the eyes to admire the paving stones as they float up to this beautiful home. It looks like a house one would find on a plantation. For me, as much as I like our work to stand out, I think it's important to utilize our talents to bring out the best for each individual project – that is, the home, the neighborhood, the landscape, the mood, the setting, and the like. We did, however, add a sweet double charcoal border to frame it all in. I think it looks pretty slick without getting too busy. I like the way this expansive circular driveway guides the driver to the parking area in the back.
We came into some challenges with an enormous amount of shallow roots that were all over the area in which we needed to pave. Luckily, the main roots were well under the ground and nowhere to be found on the driveway. We cleaned all the roots and created a deep concrete root barrier along both sides of the driveway. We don't like to return to our jobs to fix things. For us, we like to build it right the first time. This requires a lot more diligence, supervision, problem resolution, quality materials and a fantastic, talented team to pull it off, but it's well worth it!
There was a dirt strip between the home and the driveway that I'm so thankful that the owner allowed us to landscape! Had we not, our work would have felt incomplete. It's amazing what some plants and bark can add.
Oh, how I'm going to miss walking down to the local coffee house for my morning cup O' Joe! Thanks for having us, Richard, Colleen and Steve!!!
Danville, we hope to see you again soon!
